Embossing

Embossed dog tags with your own text

Here you'll find our selection of embossed dog tags, where your personal text is embossed directly into the metal with raised letters.

This is the classic method known from original military dog tags, and the result has the raw and authentic look that many associate with American military ID tags.

At Armytags, we have been working with personalized dog tags since 2006, and your own text is naturally included in the price.

Dog tag with personalized text

You decide what should be on your dog tag.

Depending on the model, you have space for several lines of text, so you can, for example, use your dog tag for:

• Name

• Date of birth

• Phone number

• Blood type

• Address

• Coordinates

• A personal message

• Contact information

• Other information of special significance

Our embossing machine can also handle a range of Nordic special characters such as Æ, Ø, Å, Ä and Ö, as well as ♥ and ✝, among others.

Classic embossing with raised letters

With embossing, the characters are physically formed directly into the dog tag, so the letters are raised in the metal.

It is precisely this method that gives the classic dog tag look known from the military, films, and popular culture.

Embossing differs from our laser engraving, where text, logos, and motifs are instead engraved directly into the surface.

If you want the most classic and authentic military look, embossing is the obvious choice.

Many different types of dog tags

In the assortment, you will find classic US Army dog tags, WWII-inspired models, colored dog tags, brass, shiny variants, and original Danish dog tags.

This means you can either go for the traditional military look or choose a more personal color and finish.

What can a personalized dog tag be used for?

Today, dog tags are used for much more than military identification.

They are popular as:

• Personal necklace

• Gift for birthday, christening, or confirmation

• ID tag for running and cycling

• Contact information for sports and outdoor activities

• Keychain or luggage tag

• A personal gift with a special text or date

The possibilities are almost only limited by what you yourself wish to have embossed.

Design your own embossed dog tag and get the classic military look with exactly the text that means something to you.
