FAQ

Answers to the most common questions about ordering, tags and delivery.

Order Status

Has my order been shipped?

You can always check your order status in your account. Once your order has been shipped, you will automatically receive a tracking number by email.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, you can cancel your order if we have not started producing it. Please email us at info@armytags.dk as soon as possible if you wish to cancel.

Tags and Accessories

What is a silencer?

Silencers are small rubber rings that you can put around your standard-sized dog tag. They come in many colours and prevent the tags from making noise when they hit each other.

Am I allowed to write my blood type on the tag?

You are welcome to, but we strongly recommend that you are 100% sure of your blood type before writing it. It can be dangerous to receive the wrong blood if an accident should occur. Contact your doctor if you are unsure.

Does the colour of the tag fade or come off?

We have not seen or heard of the colour on our tags coming off, but we cannot guarantee that it will never happen with very heavy use.

Is it legal to wear a military tag if I have not been a soldier?

Yes, it is not illegal. Our dog tags are personal jewellery/ID tags, not official military documents.

What text do soldiers usually write on a real army tag?

If you are a soldier in the American army, you traditionally write:

  • Line 1: Last Name
  • Line 2: First Name and Initials
  • Line 3: Social Security Number
  • Line 4: Blood Type
  • Line 5: Religion

If you are a soldier in the Danish army, you traditionally write:

  • Line 1: Social Security Number
  • Line 2: Last Name
  • Line 3: First Name

Embossing vs. Laser Engraving

What is the difference between embossing and laser engraving?

Embossing is our original, classic method with raised letters — it is only text, and it is made on the front of the tag. Laser engraving is a newer method where we can engrave both text and an image/logo, on both the front and back.

How many characters can I write?

It depends on which tag you choose — the number of characters per line is always stated on the product page itself.
