Original Danish Dog Tag

This original Danish dog tag is exactly the ID tag that Danish soldiers are issued at the barracks when they serve their conscription in the army, air force, or navy. It is the same tag that Danish personnel have worn on peacekeeping missions for decades, and has been part of the armed forces' equipment for over 60 years.

The tradition is that the soldier's health insurance number, last name, and first name are embossed both at the top and bottom of the tag. If a soldier falls in combat, comrades break the tag in two along the two slots in the middle — one half stays with the fallen, the other is handed in as proof to superiors.

Your personal text is included in the price — no extra cost. You have up to 7 lines in total (11 characters per line): the first 3 lines are embossed at the top of the tag, the remaining 4 at the bottom — exactly like the original. You can use letters, numbers, as well as Æ, Ø, Å, Ö, Ä and the symbols ♥ and ✝.

The tag measures 6 x 4 cm. When you buy, you get:

• 1 original Danish dog tag with your own text
• 1 original 75 cm safety chain

Your personal text is stamped in Denmark, and you can see your design before you order via the Live preview above.
